This is my childhood memory which I experienced on a daily
basis, and is reproduced precisely and eternally by these robots.
Such a scene is often shown in cartoons or used in comic scripts
as a typical Japanese dinner scene. In reality, however, there
are only a few who have experienced such
tragedy. For me, it was an unbearable tragedy in which I was not
able to erase from my mind for many years.
But when the fear and anger gradually began to fade, I was able
to tell people around me about this family problem.
This is when I decided to make this robot. It is controlled electronically,
and reproduces my dreadful memories loyally and precisely. The
unyielding movements of the robots repeating the incident over
and over again make me want to cry and scream "O.K. Father!
I understand. You are right!"
These robots are representing me and asking the viewers the
most simple
question in the world. "What is life?"
